HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO SIT THERE ?

  • I'm reading the book of John 5:1-9 , the question of reason comes to my mind why are you hear In the scripture we find a man who was invalid for 38 years and he is sitting next to the healing pool : Bethesda for 38 years, no healing ....
  • the scripture further states that an Angel would come from time to time to stir the pool and whoever jumps in first will get healing.Jesus come passing at the pool he saw this man and ask him if he wants to be healed - the man explains that he does not have a person to help him get into the pool every time when the Angel come for 38 years he has been trying to get into the pool but while trying to move forward somebody will jump in first and overtake him.
Then again another question come to my mind - How many times was this pool stirred per year ? the bible doesn't tell us - but IF it was once a year it means this man tried 38 times , if it was twice a year it was 76 times ...the bible says from time to time .. so any number can fit in, all his attempts failed - he was the same as the person that is sick and is as home.

Tried for 38 years and never realize that he  failed...HOW MANY TIMES ARE YOU WILLING TO TRY ...?
The problem with this man is that he was slow - people were overtaking him- its not that he had no ability to move but he was slow and he missed his healing 38 times or more... 

I don't know what you have missed in life and for how many times , when you think you got it somebody overtakes or something disturbs you - BUT can you rather change the strategy or identify your weakness and work on it in your closet or cry for help , allow people to help you .
This man's weakness was that he was Slow - and he didn't do anything about it -he could have move to the bank of the pool before the angel came or he could have organize a person to help him to the pool - 38 years!! - It seems like he forgot why he came to the pool 

DON'T FORGET WHY ARE YOU HERE , WHY ARE YOU AT THE POOL 
(why are you earth,, why are you in that church, why are you in that job ,why are you in that relationship , why are you in that school..)  the question is why are you there. 

this man was lucky Jesus came and rescued him without him asking ,you might not be lucky ...

DO SOMETHING - YOU CANT SIT IN ONE POSITION FOR THAT LONG ... MOVE!!!
